Analysis and development of an analytics solution using SQL Server 2000, Analysis Services 2000 and IntelligentApps. OLAP cubes were built, and a suite of IntelligentApps reports were developed to replace a manual report creation process that previously existed.
Leading provider of insurance for transport and logistics
They had a set of 15-20 spreadsheets that required many days of manual intervention to collate each month's KPI data to monitor performance across the business. The system was developed using SQL Server 2000 and Analysis Services 2000 to automate the collection of this data from an AS/400 source. OLAP cubes were built for each specific KPI and IntelligentApps was used to replicate the manual reports to save the time and effort that was required each month. As a result of the automated process, they increased the frequency of the analysis to a weekly refresh but still retained the flexibility and detail required.
World's leading protection and indemnity insurer
The client had an existing warehouse in place but required a feed of this data to be run through a forecasting module and then fed back into the warehouse to provide analytics on the forecasted data to compare against actual. We developed an automated process using SQL Server 2000, Analysis Services 2000 and the ProClarity 6.1 suite, to output actual data into the Excel forecasting module and then import the results back into the warehouse to build a forecasting cube of approx 175 million rows. This exercise is performed each quarter end.
