Moore Stephens Consulting sells New York operating subsidiary
Moore Stephens Consulting Limited, a leading provider of performance management solutions to the insurance industry, is pleased to announce the sale of its New York subsidiary Moore Stephens Business Solutions LLC to Cover-All Systems Inc., a wholly-owned subsidiary of Cover-All Technologies Inc. The strategic move forms part of the first phase in restructuring Moore Stephens Consulting’s business model to focus on the launch of its bIntelligent Framework, which provides a single consolidated data store with a core set of capabilities for operational reporting, analytics, and business-focused dashboarding. Using eight years’ experience, this tried and tested solution significantly reduces the risk inherent in delivering projects of this kind. Paul Latarche, a director of Moore Stephens Consulting said, “The launch of our new bIntelligent Framework has been very well received. We have initiated implementation of the Framework for a number of high profile London Market insurers, where there is a significant focus on the quality, consistency and management of data in preparing for the implementation of Solvency II.”
Moore Stephens Consulting Limited develops first accredited IRS integration
Moore Stephens Consulting Limited (MSCL), working on behalf of the London Fire and Emergency Planning Authority (LFEPA), has developed an electronic interface between the LFEPA Incident Management System (IMS) and the Government Incident Recording System (IRS), which received accreditation on 3rd March 2009. This is the first accredited electronic interface to IRS. The Incident Recording System (IRS) is a national project led by Communities and Local Government. Every Fire & Rescue Service (FRS) should be using the IRS by 31st March 2009. With the active engagement of FRSs and other stakeholders this project enables the data on all incidents attended by the UK Fire and Rescue Services to be collected electronically and verified at source, improving on the timeliness and accuracy of the current manual collection. The LFEPA IMS application is used to gather information about incidents from the London Fire Brigade’s mobilising system and from station-based input. Developed for LFEPA by MSCL, the IMS system was designed with integration to IRS and to FireControl in mind, and the first of these integrations has now been successfully achieved.
Microsoft announce change to their business intelligence strategy
Microsoft recently announced major changes to their BI strategy involving the PerformancePoint Server product (PPS) , which is the application designed to help customers monitor, analyse and plan their business. As of April 1st 2009, customers will no longer be able to purchase standalone PerformancePoint Server licenses. Following the release of “Service Pack 3” scheduled for later this year, which will include updates to the current product’s planning module, there will be no further development of the planning and budgeting component. Existing PerformancePoint customers will however be supported for approximately a ten year period. The Monitoring & Analytics functionality of PPS will now be available through Microsoft Office SharePoint Server, branded as ‘PerformancePoint Services’. This will be available for purchase as a SharePoint Enterprise CAL with Software Assurance. This change in strategy, is designed to help organisations deploy Microsoft Business Intelligence more widely and cost effectively.
